Dear friends, Now days i'm suffering from hair falling problem. some one suggested that i will try "Miss Meenal" tips regarding to prevent  hair falling. from today(18/10/2010), i'm going to try it. u can also try it.

Does your hair fall a lot? Don't worry, you're not alone. Millions of people from all around the world suffer from dry, brittle and weak hair. Some of the possible reasons for falling hair are:  
  • Tension
  • Too much work
  • Illness 
  • Poor diet 
  • Over-exposure to the sun
  • Perming
  • Amateur bleaching
  • Too frequent and inexpert use of tints, rinses or other colourants 

Here is what you can do to prevent hair fall 
  • Shampoo regularly. Remember, a CLEAN scalp is a HEALTHY SCALP. 
  • Brahmi amla oil also promotes hair growth. 
  • A high protein diet with plenty of fruits, green vegetables and dairy products is a must. 
  • Drink 10-12 glass of water everyday. 
  • Use a very mild shampoo and condition your hair at least twice a week. When you do, make sure you rinse out the conditioner thoroughly, otherwise residue build-up will cause your hair to look limp and dull. 
  • Know your vitamins! IRON is important for healthy hair and brittle, limp hair indicates an iron deficiency. Spinach has a good iron content, so gulp it down!
  • ZINC helps prevent hair loss and greying. Eat adequate zinc rich foods. Overweight people tend to have zinc deficiency, which is inversely related to the body mass index. Thus if you are overweight and if your hair falls too much, you may want to increase your intake of zinc containing foods. Recipes containing stone ground, wholegrain flour are rich in zinc. 
  • A shortfall in VITAMIN B may cause dandruff, falling hair, loss of colour and could encourage grey hair. So B group Vitamins are essential for gloss, colour and thickness. 
  • VITAMIN C ensures the health of capillaries supplying blood to hair follicles. Make sure your diet includes plenty of fresh fruits and veggies. 
  • VITAMIN E encourages hair growth. Switch from refined flours to wholemeal and wheatgerm, eggs, vegetable oil. 
  • COPPER stops hair from falling. Studies show that the copper content in the blood serum of people with falling hair is less than normal. Different types of alopecia (falling hair) are seen to have a deficiency of this important trace element. Include small quantities of nuts, especially cashews and peanuts, seeds, whole milk and beans in your diet as these contain minute but important amounts of copper. 

Homemade remedies for preventing hair fall: 
  1. Apply almond oil on scalp and massage. 
  2. Grind fenugreek seeds in water and apply on your scalp. Wash off after 40 minutes. Do this every morning for a month ¡V if it suits you! Remember, different treatments suit different types of hair.  
  3. Massage warm castor oil + almond oil into your scalp gently. Wrap a hot towel around your scalp so it gets absorbed into the hair. Do this twice a week for healthy, shiny hair. 
  4. Add 2-3 drops of honey to a glass of water and use this as the last rinse after shampooing. 

Quick Hair Care Conditioner 
Mix 1 egg, 2 tbs castor oil, 1 tsp vinegar and 1 tsp glycerine. Beat until frothy and massage lightly into your scalp. Wrap your head in a hot towel, steam, then wash off. This conditioner makes hair thicker, shiny, soft and manageable.  
Honey Conditioner
Beat 1-2 eggs (depending on the length of the hair), 1 tsp honey and 2 tsp olive oil. Massage gently into the scalp. Steam, and shampoo after an hour.  
Alcohol Conditioner
Beat 1-2 eggs with 2 tsp brandy. Massage into your scalp. Leave for 10-15 mins. Rinse well. The egg nourishes your hair and brandy stimulates hair growth.
Your hair is a vital beauty asset, requiring constant loving care. And with a little nurturing, lush, glossy hair will be yours.

Lets look at it this way, according to the Harry Potter movies, Harry Potter and Voldemort are almost alike, But the difference between them is, unlike Voldemort, Potter accepts mortality and uses his knowledge of magic for good.

Ethical hackers are those that use their knowledge and skills for good. They are the ones called whitehat hackers. They have a lot of benefits in the society because, they stand for what is good and beneficial to everyone. They are well paid by their employers so as to resist the temptation of going dark. This can be an eye opener for others since its better to live a life which you won't have to be running from the authorities or harming anyone.


My concept of Ethical Hacking and information security is meant to encourage those who are so interested in computing but fear some aspects due to the misconception about breach in security and the law and also to show those who are already breaking the law and system that there is some good in doing the right thing.





Here are some notable whitehats.

1. Berners-Lee: He has been honored with the Millennium Technology Prize and several other honors. His feat is the invention or the world wide web. The system that’s been used to access internet files and websites today. He also founded the World Wide Web Consortium at MIT which considers itself as an international consortium where member organizations, full-time staff and the public work together to develop web standards.

2. Stephen Wozniak: Together with Steve Jobs, co-founded Apple Computer and sold the first 100 of the Apple I to a local dealer for $666.66 each. Has been inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in September 2000 and also has been awarded with the National Medal of Technology, honorary doctorate degrees from some Universities. He also participates in philanthropy no longer working full time at Apple.

3. Linus Torvalds: has an asteroid named after him and has received honorary doctorates from some Universities and is considered the father of Linux(the Unix-based operating system). He is a Finnish software engineer and had hacked a few games. He is more focused on the positive part of the whole show. He created the Linux kernel in 1991. He still works for Linux and is very open to new ideas as well as coordinating the code received as a contribution from volunteer programmers.

4. Tsutomu Shimomura: after been hacked by Kevin Mitnick, together with computer journalist John Markoff, chose to help the FBI capture Mitnick. Shimomura out-hacked Mitnick to bring him down using Mitnick's cell phone. He earlier did some bad things but realized his mistakes and decided to do a right thing for the good of everyone.

5. Richard Stallman: Founder of GNU Project and Free Software Foundation, Has honorary doctorates from more than 5 institutions. He worked earlier as a staff hacker on Emacs project. He encourages availability of free software for all.

 We can be well respected and important in the world like these guys or can be;

Blackhats

This on the other hand is different from Ethical hacking.These guys mostly do it out of curiosity or for fun while others do it for personal gain. But the results are devastating. Our computers suffer, our credit cards suffer.

This is where Lord Voldemort comes in.(exceeding the limits)

1. Adrian Lamo His hits include Yahoo!, Bank of America, Citigroup New York times, Microsoft and Cingular. He operated like Danny Ocean in Ocean’s 11. He’ld tell alert his victims that he was in their systems and they would helplessly do nothing. He was later arrested too.

2. Kevin Mitnick: He is considered the most wanted computer criminal in United States history and some of his feats have been shown in Takedown(2000 movie) and Freedom Downtime(2001). He would hack into computers, steal corporate secrets and scramble phone. He was later apprehended. 

3. Jonathan James: At the age of 16 was imprisoned for hacking into the Defence Reduction agency server. At first it was fun then the sudden urge of wanting to get more. He created a backdoor to the agencies systems which enabled him to read emails and get employee information like usernames and passwords. He also stole software worth upto 1.7million USD from NASA forcing NASA to shut down their systems.

4. Robert Tappan Morris: Known as the creator of Morris Worm, which is the first computer worm on the Internet. The worm as of the time of production, multiplied excessively, causing computers to be very slow to the point of not being able to be used. It affected approximately 6,000 machines. He was apprehended and fined 10,500.USD

5. Kevin Poulsen: aka Dark Dante, hacked the LA radio's phone linesduring a call contest, and won 2 Porsche, 20000USD and an all expense paid trip. He also hacked the FBI to get information during his flee. He was into phone phreaking. He was later on apprehended and served a five years sentence.

Some of these guys started all out of curiosty and couldn’t control the urge of wanting to find out more and the result has been devastating.

Ethical hacking can be learnt even in Universities. High interests in computing or hacking should be used for the good of the public because, Ethical hacking doesn't harm anyone its only meant to correct and point out flaws.

Why some Yahoo! features are better than Google’s

According to alexa.com, Yahoo! is currently the fourth most visited website in the world (the third most visited website in the United States) and that’s a lot of visits and a massively used service. Yahoo! were, in-fact, the Google of 10 years ago and had Google not appeared on the scene, would probably have continued to be the leading search engine on the Internet.
Google handles many of our daily web searching needs including email networking, GoogleDocs and Google AdWords etc. and in our opinion, it’s really good; much better than most other Internet companies. However, there are a select few services that you should always turn to Yahoo! for. Why? Well because these are services that Yahoo! does way better or that Google just simply doesn’t offer.
There are 7 things that Yahoo! does better than Google:
1. Personal Finance: Yahoo! Finance contains a massive amount of original content that easily rivals some of the biggest financial sites in the industry (and that includes sites like CNN Money, TheStreet.com, etc.). The interface is very easy to find your way around and is perfectly accessible to both new investors and longtime financial gurus. If you and your website deal in finances then you MUST reference this excellent tool. Google Finance is coming along, but it just simply isn’t as good.
2. Answers to Questions:: Yahoo! Answers allows users to ask questions or answer other user’s questions; it’s a little bit like a massive forum and it’s a simple concept that works really well for Yahoo! and is a wonderful way to get answers to all your questions very fast. Google has no such active service. The closest competition on the web right now is Ask MetaFilter… also a great question/answer service but Yahoo! Answers is our favorite.
3. Website Backlink Info: Most webmasters like to know exactly how many sites are linking to their various websites. Yahoo! makes this especially easy with their “linkdomain:” search operator. It quickly provides a full list of incoming links to any given domain. Let’s say your domain name is “yourdomain.com”; simply type “linkdomain:yourdomain.com” (without the “s) in to Yahoo! search and you’ll see all the pages that link to any page within your domain. For some reason Google does not publicly disclose this backlink information, but instead provides only a small sample of quality incoming links to a given domain via it’s “link:” search operator. Google does provide the Google Webmaster Tools service that will give you backlink information for a specific domain but only once you sign up and prove to Google that you are the owner of the domain.
4. Image Hosting and Sharing: In the same way that Google purchased YouTube for Web 2.0 video sharing, with its purchase of Flickr, Yahoo! now rules the Web 2.0 photo sharing market and Flickr is currently the king over all the other photo sharing sites out there. It’s fantastic site and very easy to get lost in for an hour or so. A great way to host images for your website and to get some quality links for your website.
5. Local Search: If you are looking for businesses around your town or city, Yahoo! Local is a step ahead of Google. While Google can perform local searches in a variety of different ways through their standard search interface and Google Maps application, Yahoo! Local is a more polished service that puts all local search capabilities on one convenient page. Yahoo! local is sort of like a digital Yellow Pages and listing your business here is a great move.
6. Entertainment Portal: From music to online games to sports, Yahoo! Entertainmentprovides a solid entertainment web portal capable of satisfying all the various entertainment and leisure user demographics. For better or for worst, Google isn’t trying to be an entertainment portal, so it doesn’t even come close to competing with Yahoo! in this regard. Another great resource for those interested in Entertainment.
7. Privacy Policy: Yahoo! is arguably better with the privacy concerns of its users. Certainly this point could be debated in favor of either company, but there seems to be more public controversy surrounding Google’s privacy policies. Like most, we suck it up and use Google’s services anyway but why let Google have access to all your info? Use Yahoo! and this will no longer be a concern to you…

Seminar report on "Internet Protocol Television (IPTV)"

    As a result of broadband service providers moving from offering Connectivity to services, the discussion surrounding broadband entertainment has increased significantly. The Broadband Services Forum BSF) membership has identified a number of services that require significant focus in this decade; one of these is Internet Protocol Television (IPTV). This paper provides a high level, vendor&agnostic overview of what IPTV is and how it works.

IPTV, essentially, has two components:

Part 1: Internet Protocol (IP): specifies the format of packets and the addressing scheme. Most
networks combine IP with a higher&level protocol. Depending on the vendor solution, user
datagram protocol (UDP) is the most typical higher level protocol. The protocol establishes a
virtual connection between a destination and a source. IP allows you to address a package of
information and drop it in the system, but there’s no direct link between you and the recipient.

Part 2: Television (TV): specifies the medium of communication that operates through the
transmission of pictures and sounds. We all know TV, but here we are referring to the services
that are offered for the TV, like linear and on demand programming. Add the two components
together (IP+TV) and you have: IPTV: specifies the medium of communication of pictures and
sound that operates over an IP Network. Note: It is important to point out that IPTV services
usually operate over a private IP network and not the public Internet. In a private IP network
specifically designed for IPTV, a service provider can ensure quality of service (QoS) for
consumers. QoS refers to giving certain IP traffic a higher priority than other IP traffic. In an
IPTV network, TV signals are given the highest priority. As a result, the TV service is
instantaneous; there is no downloading involved for the linear or on&demand content. An IPTV service model offers a complete broadcaster and “cable programmer” channel line&up, including live programming delivered in real time. Additionally, it can offer a video on demand (VOD) service and enables the broadband service provider to develop new and unique services to differentiate their offering from competitors

Seminar report on "4G Wireless Technology"



                          As the virtual centre of excellence in mobile and personal communications (Mobile VCE) moves into its second core research programme it has been decided to set up a fourth generation (4G) visions group aimed at harmonising the research work across the work areas and amongst the numerous researchers working on the programme. This paper outlines the initial work of the group and provides a start to what will become an evolving vision of 4G. A short history of previous generations of mobile communications systems and a discussion of the limitations of third generation (3G) systems are followed by a vision of 4G for 2010 based on five elements: fully converged services, ubiquitous mobile access, diverse user devices, autonomous networks and software dependency. This vision is developed in more detail from a technology viewpoint into the key areas of networks and services, software systems and wireless access.

The major driver to change in the mobile area in the last ten years has been the massive enabling implications of digital technology, both in digital signal processing and in service provision. The equivalent driver now, and in the next five years, will be the all pervasiveness of software in both networks and terminals. The digital revolution is well underway and we stand at the doorway to the software revolution. Accompanying these changes are societal developments involving the extensions in the use of mobiles. Starting out from speech-dominated services we are now experiencing massive growth in applications involving SMS (Short Message Service) together with the start of Internet applications using WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) and i-mode. The mobile phone has not only followed the watch, the calculator and the organiser as an essential personal accessory but has subsumed all of them. With the new Internet extensions it will also lead to a convergence of the PC, hi-fl and television and provide mobility to facilities previously only available on one network.

                          Wireless phone standards have a life of their own. You can tell, because they're
spoken of reverently in terms of generations. There's great-granddad who's pioneering story pre-dates cellular, grandma and grandpa analog cellular, mom and dad digital cellular, 3G wireless just starting to make a place for itself in the world, and the new baby on the way, 4G. Most families have a rich history of great accomplishments, famous ancestors, skeletons in the closets and wacky in-laws. The wireless scrapbook is just as dynamic. There is success, infighting and lots of hope for the future. Here's a brief snapshot of the colorful world of wireless. First of all, this family is the wireless telephone family. It is just starting to compete with the wireless Internet family that includes Wi-Fi and the other 802 wireless IEEE standards. But it is a completely different set of standards. The only place the two are likely to merge is in a marriage of phones that support both the cellular and Wi-Fi standards. Wireless telephone started with what you might call 0G if you can remember back that far. The great ancestor is the mobile telephone service that became available just after World War II. In those pre-cell days, you had a mobile operator to set up the calls and there were only a handful of channels available.

Seminar report on "Design Technique for Voice Browsers"

 Browser technology is changing very fast these days and we are moving from the visual paradigm to the voice paradigm. Voice browser is the technology to enter this paradigm. A voice browser is a “device which interprets a (voice) markup language and is capable of generating voice output and/or interpreting voice input, and possibly other input/output modalities. "This paper describes the requirements for two forms of character-set grammar, as a matter of preference or implementation, one is more easily read by (most) humans, while the other is geared toward machine generation.

A voice browser is a “device which interprets a (voice) markup language and is capable of generating voice output and/or interpreting voice input, and possibly other input/output modalities." The definition of a voice browser, above, is a broad one. The fact that the system deals with speech is obvious given the first word of the name, but what makes a software system that interacts with the user via speech a "browser"? The information that the system uses (for either domain data or dialog flow) is dynamic and comes somewhere from the Internet. From an end-user's perspective, the impetus is to provide a service similar to what graphical browsers of HTML and related technologies do today, but on devices that are not equipped with full-browsers or even the screens to support them. This situation is only exacerbated by the fact that much of today's content depends on the ability to run scripting languages and 3rd-party plug-ins to work correctly.

Much of the efforts concentrate on using the telephone as the first voice browsing device. This is not to say that it is the preferred embodiment for a voice browser, only that the number of access devices is huge, and because it is at the opposite end of the graphical-browser continuum, which high lights the requirements that make a speech interface viable. By the first meeting it was clear that this scope-limiting was also needed in order to make progress, given that there are significant challenges in designing a system that uses or integrates with existing content, or that automatically scales to the features of various access devices.
